PURPOSE STATEMENT

Our purpose is to uplift economically disadvantaged populations by equipping them with essential tools and knowledge required to break the cycle of poverty. Through a comprehensive program, we offer assistance in acquiring job skills, crafting resumes, navigating job applications, preparing for interviews, and providing appropriate attire for employment. Our commitment extends beyond employment readiness; we empower individuals with the essential life skills, including budgeting and personal finance management, necessary for achieving self-sufficiency. Recognizing the challenges faced by homeless individuals, we understand that securing stable housing is often the first step towards self-sufficiency. To address this, we connect our clients with resources such as income-based housing options, shelters, and transportation assistance, ensuring they have a safe place to stay, access to hygiene facilities, suitable clothing, and reliable transportation to and from work. Our ultimate goal is to facilitate a seamless transition for individuals and families from homelessness to independent living, fostering a brighter and more sustainable future for all.

PRESIDENT

Don E. Scott, Jr

Don co-owns Safe Haven Support Services, LLC with his wife, Schanta Scott. Their agency is dedicated to advocating for individuals and families across Florida, offering vital support within the community. Additionally, Don is the proprietor of Safe Haven Logistics, LLC, a transportation agency serving diverse needs. With over 25 years of expertise in logistics, Don brings a wealth of experience to his ventures. Actively engaged both locally and globally, he participates in mission trips to Jamaica and Africa through his church, spreading hope to those in need worldwide.

VICE PRESIDENT

Schanta Scott

Schanta co-owns Safe Haven Support Services, LLC with her husband, Don E. Scott, Jr. Their agency focuses on advocating for individuals and families across Florida, connecting them with essential social services. With a keen business acumen and a forward-thinking mindset, Schanta envisions a brighter future for everyone she serves. Actively engaged in her community, she tirelessly spreads hope and support to those in need. Her commitment extends globally through mission trips to Jamaica and Africa, where she continues her mission of bringing hope to people worldwide. With over three decades of experience in the Social Services sector, Schanta has served in various capacities, including as a Manager of a Domestic Violence Center, Child Welfare Case Manager, and Daycare Director. She earned her Masters Degree in Human Services from National Louis University in Tampa, FL.

Demetrice Jackson

Demetrice is a multifaceted professional with a decade of experience in the health and wellness field. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, Health and Wellness Coach, Motivational Speaker, and Published Author, she brings a wealth of expertise to her work. Alongside her career, Demetrice is an entrepreneur dedicated to transforming lives through her company, Fit 4 Christ, where she empowers men and women to make positive changes for their well-being.
